FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to addictology, and can be used for prediction of duration of therapeutic remission in alcohol dependence. Blood serum testosterone is measured in patients admitted to the hospital after detoxification prior to alcohol therapy. If testosterone concentration is more than 30 nmol/l, unstable remission is predicted to occur up to 6 months after therapy and discharge from the hospital.
EFFECT: method enables predicting the length of therapeutic remission accompanying alcohol dependence by determining, at the stage of the syndrome, the withdrawal of testosterone concentration in the patients, high concentration of which is a characteristic biological marker of unstable therapeutic remission accompanying alcohol dependence.
