FIELD: heat insulation; nuclear physics and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of providing and installing external heat insulation of a housing of a nuclear reactor and can be used at nuclear power stations for performing recovery annealing of welded seams and (or) base metal of WWER reactor vessel. Heat insulation includes posts, support and heat insulation rings installed in series one above the other on upper support sites of posts and enclosing housing of nuclear reactor, and stands are uniformly installed under support and heat insulation rings on floor of reactor under reactor, each of posts is equipped with guide slots made on upper part of inner surface of post, and is pivotally mounted on post base. Hinge of post and post base joint is displaced relative to rack center of gravity with possibility of post deviation from vertical position and its self-return to vertical position, and rack base is equipped with adjustable screw support and has support platform. Support and heat-insulating rings are made in the form of hingedly connected sections of frame structure, made in form of arc-shaped sections of ring, on the inner side of the frame of each section of the heat-insulating ring there is a heat insulation made of mullite silica felt, on the upper surface of sections of the upper heat-insulating ring there are additionally fixed heat-insulating blocks made in form of packs of sheets of triangular shape from mullite silica felt, support boxes are provided on the outer side of the support and heat-insulating ring sections carcass abutting on the posts.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of erection under constrained conditions of reactor under reactor and increased level of ionizing radiation, as well as reducing the temperature gradient over the thickness of the housing of the nuclear reactor by heat insulation of the outer surface of the reactor housing, providing uniformity of physical properties of metal and welded seams of the reactor housing, as well as reducing the effect of thermal effects on surrounding structures during reduction of annealing of welds and (or) main metal of WWER reactor housing.
