FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for installation of external heat insulation of housing of nuclear reactor and can be used at nuclear power stations for operations of recovery annealing of welded seams of vessel of WWER reactor. Device comprises a movable transport trolley, equipped with a mechanism for its movement, located on movable transport trolley removable bearing rim, on which is fixed heat insulation of reactor housing, at least two elevators located on opposite sides of reactor body at the level of its upper part, wherein detachable bearing rim is connected to lifts with possibility of its lifting and lowering.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of mounting and dismantling thermal insulation of the outer surface of the WWER reactor housing in the constrained conditions of the reactor under the reactor and high level of ionizing radiation by reducing the temperature gradient over the thickness of the housing of the nuclear reactor by heat insulation of the outer surface of the reactor housing, ensuring uniformity of physical properties of metal and welded seams of the reactor housing and reduction of influence of thermal effects on surrounding structures during reduction of annealing of welds and (or) main metal of the WWER reactor vessel.
