FIELD: valves.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to float valves and, in particular, to float valves used in fuel tanks of vehicles. Disclosed is float valve (10) for use in a liquid medium, wherein the float valve has a vertical configuration and an inverted configuration. Float valve includes housing (12), defining at least one inlet channel (20) and at least one outlet channel (24); floating (60) arrangement, movable inside said housing; and an auxiliary float member (50) movable inside said housing. Float configuration (60) includes main float element (70; 70'), different from auxiliary float element, and spring element (80). Main float element is intended to close at least one outlet channel, if it rests against it, wherein the spring element is intended to provide a pressing spring force applied to the main float element in the direction of the said at least one outlet channel. Auxiliary float element is intended to provide resultant pushing force in liquid medium under conditions of complete immersion regardless of whether float element is in said vertical configuration or in said inverted configuration.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of float valve with possibility in normal configuration to act as overflow shutoff valve with additional force compensation, and in inverted configuration as gravity valve.
