SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrotechnical construction, namely to expansion joints, mainly protective lining of channels and water bodies, as well as when creating volumes of underground water reservoirs, for storage of wastes of various production, when seam can be located, including vertically. Deformation sieve seam includes an anti-filtration element formed from a film material immersed into the concrete of the plates being joined. According to the invention, for joining the plates an element is used, consisting of halves of the pipe installed with the possibility of forming an internal space, and in the place of their joint – through slots, wherein in each of the plates the free ends of the film material are monolithic, which is made of a continuous web pre-folded in half along and equal in height through slots, wherein the web bending is introduced through the slots into the inner space formed from the pipe halves to form a sealed container due to arrangement of free ends of the folded web in the upper part of the plates to be joined.

EFFECT: improving operating reliability of the expansion seam and water discharge and simplifying the technology of its creation, as well as realizing the possibility to control the water flow through the expansion seam.
