FIELD: computer equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Provided that a sequence of images in a first presentation is a code combination, methods, processes and systems for embedding adjustment into a next-generation video codec for encoding and decoding images, wherein re-arrangement provides parts of images to be encoded in the second representation by a code combination, which enables more efficient compression than using a first representation by a code combination. Variety of architectures is discussed, including: the architecture of out-of-outline tuning, the architecture of in-loop adjustment only for frames with intraframe prediction, in-loop architecture for residual prediction values and hybrid in-loop tuning architecture. Invention also discloses syntax methods for signalling tuning parameters and image encoding methods optimized with respect to tuning.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of coding efficiency.
