FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to jet propulsion systems of space and low-orbital aircrafts with low power consumption. Electrically-driven propulsion unit contains a housing, a diffuser located in the front part of the housing, a heat chamber with high-frequency electrodes and a nozzle connected by a channel to a heating chamber, and it is equipped with a high-frequency winding in the form of a solenoid, which is connected to a high-frequency generator and is located around the specified heat chamber. Electrically-driven propulsion unit is equipped with a high-voltage high-frequency current source, at the inlet of the thermal chamber after the diffuser there are coaxially arranged electrodes made in the form of hollow cylinders, and each of them is connected to one of electric terminals of the high-voltage high-frequency current source. Fuel injection device is made in the form of two parts, the first of which is located directly behind the coaxial cylindrical electrodes, and the second part of the injection device is distributed along the remaining area of the heat chamber along the flow axis, wherein the solenoid is located outside the thermal chamber above its area, in which the second part of the injection device is located. Housing and heat chamber are made of dielectric, for example, aluminium oxide.
EFFECT: using invention provides higher efficiency and specific impulse of electrically driven propulsion plant.
