FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: blowdown method of intermediate cavity of turbo-pump unit relates to machine building, mainly to supply of fuel or oxidant to internal combustion engine and is intended for both vehicles and stationary power plants. Set tasks are solved by blowdown of intermediate cavity of turbo-pump unit consisting in supply of neutral gas medium into intermediate cavity of turbo-pump unit with subsequent emission of mixture of neutral gas medium and fuel or oxidant vapours from pump part of turbo-pump unit and air or fuel combustion products and oxidiser or cryogenic fuel vapours or cryogenic oxidant vapours from turbo-pump unit turbine part, characterized by that at inlet expenditures of neutral gas medium and mixture of neutral gas medium and fuel or oxidant vapours from pump part of turbo-pump unit and air or fuel combustion products are measured respectively from outlet of intermediate cavity of turbo-pump unit and oxidizer or vapour of cryogenic fuel or cryogenic oxidant vapours, from turbo pump unit turbine part side, wherein these costs are compared and the flow rate of the neutral gas medium at the inlet of the intermediate cavity of the turbo-pump unit is changed proportionally to change of the difference between them.
EFFECT: invention objectives are improvement of fire safety and reliability of turbopump unit operation, as well as improvement of economy and ecological characteristics of its operation as part of vehicle or stationary installation.
