SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture. Method of producing granular fertilizer based on limestone involves preparation of limestone flour of specified degree of dispersion, addition of water as binder and granulation of obtained mass with subsequent drying and heat treatment, wherein raw material is represented by limestone crushed rock of fraction not larger than 25 mm, its grinding is performed to size of 100–150 mesh to produce limestone flour directly before its feeding into granulator press, water as binder is used in amount of 5–10 % of dry substance weight, wherein drying and thermal treatment is carried out in drying drum at temperature 135–150 °C.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the obtained granulated limestone flour when added to the soil as a deoxidizer owing to minimization of the amount of ballast additives in the initial limestone, which are necessary only for improving granulation quality, while reducing power consumption of the method.
