FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to equipment used in milking, and a method for milking a group of animals (cows). Milking module (1) comprises five milking stations for receiving the corresponding animal to be milked. Each milking module is arranged along the longitudinal axis from the main end to the auxiliary end. Front side and rear side of milking module run parallel to longitudinal axis. Each milking module comprises front guard assembly (20) and additional guard assembly (30). Front guard assembly (20) is movable between a lower position closing the front side to prevent animals from escaping, and an upper position allowing the animals to exit. Additional safety unit (30) is installed with possibility of movement between lower position and upper position above animals. Front guard assembly comprises front gate (21), which by means of guiding bars (27) can move along curvilinear trajectory during movement of front guarding unit between lower and upper positions. In the method of milking a group of animals, the milking process is performed with the help of milking module (1).

EFFECT: proposed group of inventions ensures achievement of technical result consisting in improvement of ease of use and simple design of milking module, made with possibility of arrangement in confined space.
