A lever mechanism with a drive unit attached to it for a milking machine for automatic milking of dairy animals contains a lever and a holder with a milking machine connected to it with the possibility of rotation. The lever is connected to a lever drive shaft and is installed with the possibility of rotation around the lever axis, while a holder drive shaft is installed in the lever drive shaft to ensure the possibility of its rotation independently of the lever drive shaft. The lever drive shaft and the holder drive shaft are connected to the drive unit, while the lever mechanism has at least one transfer element as a means of traction for transmitting rotational or rotary movements. The drive unit has a lever drive for turning the lever, a holder drive for turning the holder and a vertical drive for moving the lever mechanism in the vertical direction, wherein the lever drive, the holder drive and the vertical drive are installed in a frame made with the possibility of moving in the vertical direction.

EFFECT: productivity of the milking machine is increased.
