METHOD FOR CAPSULAR SAC FIXATION TO SCLERA WITH WEAKNESS OF LIGAMENT APPARATUS OF LENS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2727886 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For fixation of capsular sac to sclera with weakness of ligamentous apparatus of lens, in which after introduction into rear chamber of viscoelastic in injection needle 30G, combined with hollow handle, polypropylene thread 9-0 with length of 10 cm is carried out, leaving piercing end 5 cm. Then needle is bent at angle of 120–140° by cutting the needle up and at distance of 2.5 mm from the limb in the middle of the sector with the weakest ligament, a sclera and ciliary body puncture is performed, wherein the needle stroke is parallel to the iris and the anterior capsule until the needle is pricked in the projection of the pupil. Then, through the main incision, a hook is inserted into the anterior chamber, by means of which the loop is hooked on the injection needle, which is removed from the eye cavity through the main incision. After the injection needle is removed on the loop, a "loop-eight" knot is formed, the free loop of which is tightened after the capsule ring is inserted into it, which is installed in the capsular sac, and two free ends of the filament leaving the sclerotome are tied with at least two interrupted sutures, providing tension of the suture, leading to the centering of the capsular sac. Thereafter, a conjunctive is tightened with scleral tweezers in the area of the formed nodular suture, providing its immersion into the space between the episclera and tenon membrane.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of eye tissue injuries, reducing invasiveness and reducing the length of the surgical exposure.
