METHOD OF CATARACT PHACOEMULSIFICATION IN PATIENTS WITH CONGENITAL LENS DYSPLASIA AND PATHOLOGY OF ITS LIGAMENTOUS APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2434615 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used in carrying out phacoemulsification of cataract in patients with lens hypoplasia and congenital pathology of its ligamentous apparatus. Continuous circular capsulorexis (CCC) and hydrodissection of lens are performed. Cataract phacoemulsification is carried out. Through main cut by means of injector into capsule sac introduced is implant in form of open ring with loops at the ends, its diameter being 1.5-2 mm larger than capsule sac diameter, one of ring ends is bent inside in form of one turn of flat spiral and to its loop preliminarily fixed is thread, on opposite end of which curved needle (CN) is located. Implant is placed in such a way that bent end is projected in zone, corresponding to the middle of Zinn's ligaments defect. After that, end of implant with thread is brought out on the surface of anterior capsule in region of capsulorexis. After that into anterior chamber CN is introduced and brought successively from inside outside above capsule sac under iris and brought outside on external surface of sclera through ciliary sulcus, in region of preliminarily separated conjunctival flap. Implantation of intraocular lens is carried out. In case of long cuts of ligamentous apparatus, after CCC and lens hydrosection, through two additional corneal paracenteses, made each in 2030 angular degrees from defect edge towards its middle, introduced and installed are hooks iris-retractors in such a way that they seize capsulorexis edge.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to restore circular symmetry, preserve integrity of capsule sac, reduce risk of intra-operation complications.
