FIELD: downhole linear induction motors.
SUBSTANCE: device used in a borehole comprises rotor (12) with at least one set of magnetic elements arranged so that the polarity of each of them varies along the longitudinal axis of rotor (12), and cylindrical stator (14), arranged with possibility of sliding inside rotor (12), made with possibility of current flow in its winding across longitudinal axis of stator (14), and having core (64), at least partially assembled from plates (38) aligned along plane lying in same plane with longitudinal axis of stator (14). Winding excitation causes relative sliding between rotor (12) and stator (14), essentially along longitudinal axis of rotor (12), and core (64) comprises several distributed along circumference of flat pads (132), each of which is formed by plates (38).
EFFECT: reliable movement and actuation of multiple downhole mechanisms.
