FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of conical springs and in the form of paraboloid of revolution. Proposed method comprises spring winding with pitch exceeding that of finished spring, heat treatment, luminescent control, grinding of ends, shot blasting, deformation and hardening using puncheon and female die. Spring winding is performed from pre-strengthened or hardened wire with pitch exceeding that of finished spring by allowance value within 6–14 % of finished spring height. Spring is forced down by means of spring compression till turns contact with maximum load F3 for 6–30 hours. Cold hardening is performed by stamping outer and inner surfaces of compressed spring and along line of spring turns contact with each other. At that, spring is installed in matrix hole with narrower side down, and value of annular gap between matrix hole and working part of puncheon is selected less diameter of turn of compressed spring by 0.2–2 mm depending on diameter of coil of installed conical or paraboloid of spring rotation.
EFFECT: increased elastic properties of spring.
