SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to strengthen springs of conical or paraboloid rotation forms, the coils of which, at maximum compression, enter into each other, while the height of the compressed springs is equal to the height of the coil. The method includes coiling a spring with a step exceeding the step of a finished spring, heat treatment (tempering) of a spring from a pre-hardened wire or hardening and tempering a spring from a hardened wire, lumocontrol, grinding and chamfering of ends, shot blasting, capping, applying a protective coating. After capping, the coils of the spring installed on the matrix with a large diameter coil down are hardened along the contact line of the surfaces of the punch and the matrix with the coils of the spring.

EFFECT: provides an increase in the resource of the spring when it is used.
