FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and method for treatment of salt-containing water by means of reverse osmosis. Device comprises an inlet for salt-containing water, an outlet for permeate, an outlet for the concentrate, wherein the inlet and outlets are built into the base unit configured for stationary installation, reverse osmosis device, made in form of replaceable unit connected to base unit with possibility of disconnection, and mixing device, by means of which there is possibility of mixing permeate flowing from reverse osmosis device, with salt-containing water, wherein the mixing device is made in the form of a valve and comprises a channel limited by the wall, wherein in the channel wall there is at least one slot, through which the channel is provided with the possibility of supply of salt-containing water, and valve body installed inside channel with possibility of axial and/or rotational displacement.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced content of salts in treated water by more than 90 %.
