FIELD: packaging design for food products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing foil with tear-off tab. Tearable foil for closing the package comprises a plurality of layers laminated together, including at least an oxygen-barrier layer and a coating layer. Tear line penetrates at least partially through the coating layer in order to define a tear-off strip extending from the tear-off tab to the end, wherein the tear-off tab comprises side wings, which are detached from the rest of the foil, on both sides of the central area, which is laminated to the rest of the foil. User can fold the side wings together at a right angle to the foil plane and grip them in order to apply force to the central area, and thus start tear-off the tear-off strip.
EFFECT: invention provides a structural solution for packaging, eliminating delamination.
