FIELD: sugar industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sugar industry, in particular, to refined sugar production. Clarifying apparatus includes a trough-shaped body, two screws arranged in parallel in the housing for mixing the solution, a perforated sifting drum installed over the housing with possibility of rotation, a hopper for loading sugar into the drum, bubbler for steam supply, nozzle for water supply and nozzle for discharge of sugar solution. Perforated drum is screw-type. Drum is equipped along the perimeter with a multithread helical perforated surface with centers of curvature located inside the cross section of the perforated screw drum and screw grooves inside the perforated screw drum in the form of curved pockets. Drum is made of three and more identical perforated strips of rectangular shape, equipped on both sides of strip with perforated overlaps in form of alternating projections and cavities of equal sizes of rectangular shape, twisted in longitudinal direction relative to longitudinal axis and bent along helical line in transverse direction on cylindrical mandrel to form perforated screw drum perimeter three or more internal curvilinear perforated convex surfaces with centers of curvature inside perforated screw drum. On the outside of the perforated screw drum there are six or more perforated laps in the form of alternating projections and recesses of equal sizes of rectangular shape, having the form of screw perforated blades along the entire length of the perforated screw drum from the inlet to the outlet hole.

EFFECT: invention usage will allow to increase speed of sugar dissolution and expand technological capabilities of the clarifying apparatus.
