FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to blades of blade machines and, in particular, to blade head (16) leading edge protective element (32), wherein said front edge protective element (32) comprises backet plate (34) and back plate (36). Back rug plate (34) and back plate (36) pass, each, in height from lower edge (50) to upper edge (51) and along the length from front edge (18) to rear edge (40, 42) and are connected to each other through front edge (18), wherein rear edge (42) of back plate (36) has at least one segment (S1, S2), made so that length of plate (36) of back inside this segment was less than length (l2, l3, l21, l22, l31, l32) of plate (36) of back at each end of this segment (S1, S2). Due to these features, propagation of deformation waves through the back plate in case of impact occurs so as to obtain faster and efficient dispersion of impact energy. Besides, additional advantage of this version of implementation is creation of an obstacle for delamination of the back plate starting from its upper edge and/or its rear edge.
EFFECT: protective element of the front edge is proposed.
