FIELD: engine building; protection means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the aircraft engines protection means against ingress of foreign objects. Device to protect engine against ingress of foreign objects comprises movable lower panel (1) installed in two guides (2) with retainers of air intake housing (3). Said panel is hingedly connected to drive rod (4) rigidly secured on air intake housing (3). In lower panel (1) there are two panels (7) with relative length 
extended simultaneously in transverse plane along guides (6) by means of power drive (8) at relative distances 
where λ – length of bottom panel, m; b is width of bottom panel, m; a is the distance from the side edge of the lower panel to the side edge of the socket, m; c is the length of the socket, m; H is height of air intake lower edge from aerodrome surface, m; 
– equivalent diameter of air intake inlet, m; A is air intake height, m; B – width of air intake, m.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of engine protection device against ingress of foreign objects in all modes of operation on ground.
