Essence of the invention consists in that the method of assessing the technical state of cable lines includes supplying a test electrical signal from the driving oscillator and recording the transient response, automatic measurement of capacity, tangent of dielectric loss angle, Q-factor and resistance at different frequencies and determination of technical state based on integral criterion, formed by artificial neural network of set of diagnostic parameters, at that, in addition, automatic measurement of excess temperature is carried out, taking into account the expiry date and operating conditions and safety factor, which is mainly determined by material and design of cable lines, and further on the set of integral diagnostic parameter considering the expiry date and operating condition and safety factor, the technical state of the cable line is evaluated.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of evaluating current technical state of a cable line.
