FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood serum biochemical parameters are measured as follows: total cholesterol (x1), high-density lipoproteins (ax1), endothelin-1 (endotelin-1), homocysteine (gomocystein) and C-reactive protein (crb). A mathematical model of a neural circuit, i.e. a multilayer perceptron is constructed. An input layer consists of five neurons representing the blood serum biochemical parameters. A buried layer consists of five neurons with hyperbolic tangent activation function. An output layer consists of two neurons with exponential activation function in the output layer and setting of standard values by means of Softmax function. The input layer of the blood serum biochemical parameters is standardised. The buried layer of neurons is derived from the standardised values of the input layer of the blood serum biochemical parameters. The output layer is calculated by formulas. If the value ||PWL-l(1)|| is more than the value ||PWL-l(0)|| in output of the neural circuit, the increased vascular wall stiffness is stated; if the first value is less than the second one, an increase of the vascular wall stiffness is considered to be absent.
EFFECT: vascular wall involvement by the biochemical analysis of blood serum biochemical parameters and the mathematical analysis of artificial neural circuits.
