FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an isolated antibody which specifically binds human TIGIT (hTIGIT), as well as to use thereof in treating a disease selected from cancer and viral infection. Also disclosed is an isolated polynucleotide encoding said antibody, a vector, a host cell containing it, as well as a method for producing an antibody, providing for antibody expression in said host cell. Invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating a disease which can be treated by an anti-TIGIT antibody containing an effective amount of said antibody, as well as to a method of treating or preventing a disease or pathology, in which treatment of an anti-TIGIT antibody involving the use of an anti-TIGIT antibody or a composition containing it can be useful.
EFFECT: invention enables effective treatment of a disease specified in cancer and viral infection.
