FIELD: ultrasonic treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultrasonic treatment and can be used for cleaning articles from process and operational contaminants. Method consists in fact that on article 5, placed in working container 1 with washing liquid 2, is exposed to ultrasonic oscillations with amplitude of oscillatory displacements 15…50 mcm at frequencies of 20…30 kHz. To this end, radiation source 3 is used in the form of a piston-type ultrasonic emitter mounted in container 1 and creating liquid stream 6 directed to article 5 with cavitation properties with width l. Rotation of support 4 with container 1, liquid 2 and articles 5 forms, under action of centrifugal force, hydrodynamic flow of actuated washing liquid 2, which together with radiation of source 3 of ultrasonic oscillations generates an extended zone of stable cavitation action on article. Width L of the zone of combined action of the acoustic oscillation source and the pressure created by the fluid hydrodynamic flow depends on the rotation frequency of the support and can reach the size up to 3l.

EFFECT: creation in the washing liquid of the common expanded zone of erosive action on the article, providing more stable cavitation process in the washing liquid.
