FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to a method for treating cattle hemeralopia in field conditions. Method is characterized by that a diseased animal is treated with a lower eyelid with 5 % alcohol tincture of iodine, after which on the border of the ventral edge of the eye and soft eye tissues are introduced needle, directing it to the opposite angle of the lower jaw and describing the semicircle behind the eyeball, bringing it to the papilla of the optic nerve until it stops in the bone tissue of the eyebrow at depth of 8–10 cm, then a syringe is attached to needle and 20 ml of 0.5 % novocaine solution is introduced into the retrobulbar space. That is followed by parabulbar injection of 10 ml of Karolin with a background of weekly intramuscular injections of Trivit in dose of 4–5 ml for 2–4 weeks.

EFFECT: using the invention enables recovering vision.
