FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and concerns a method of treating inveterate leukoma of cattle in field conditions. Method consists in that groups of animals are pre-formed by weight, age and disease severity, after which all animals are treated with a lower eyelid with 5 % alcohol tincture of iodine and topographically below the eyeball, a needle prick-in point is marked, on the boundary of the ventral edge of the eye socket and soft eye tissues, the needle is inserted into the marked point and led towards the opposite angle of the lower jaw, coming the semicircle behind the eyeball, bringing it to the optic nerve papilla until it stops in the orbit bone tissue, wherein the needle tip enters the retrobulbar area, making an introduction depth for cows 8–10 cm, followed by monitoring for the absence of damage to the protein coat of the eye by raising the upper eyelid and persuading of eye movement safety, then syringe is attached to needle and 0.5 % novocaine solution for cows 20 ml is introduced into retrobulbar space, additionally, subcutaneous injection of aloe liquid extract into the temporal muscle area in dose of 1 ml / 80–100 kg of live weight on a background of daily subcutaneous injections of the denatured emulsified placenta in dose of 30 ml per head, wherein the therapeutic courses are repeated 2–5 times with the course interval of 5 days depending on the severity of the disease.

EFFECT: invention enables recovering vision and completely curing chronic cattle leucoma of various severity and age of animal.
