SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a brake drum for a vehicle with friction ring (10), which on its radial outer surface (14) has grooves (16, 18) passing along the perimeter and on which radial outer surface (14) coating (40) is applied, and with drum body (12), which is adhered to radial outer surface of friction ring (10), so that grooves (16, 18) are filled with material of drum body (12), wherein on friction ring (10) first axial section (20) is made, in which grooves (16) are inclined to first axial end (24) of friction ring (10), and second axial section (22) is made, in which grooves (18) are inclined to direction opposite to first direction (20), wherein grooves (16, 18) - if seen in radial direction - have undercuts (26, 32).

EFFECT: technical result is providing a long service life of the brake drum with low weight due to the fact that reliably prevents the friction body from disengaging from the body of the drum.
