FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive pneumatic light-truck tires of radial design, rubber-coated breaker bracelet of which consists of two layers of rubberized metal cord, crossed crosswise to each other, and one or two layers of textile layer. Pneumatic radial light-truck tire is characterized by application in a breaker brace of two layers of rubber-coated metal cord of structure 4L32NT, cut at angle of 20–25° and superimposed cross to cross, with thickness of rubberized layer of metal cord (1.3÷1.4)±0.03 mm, metal cord diameter 0.86±0.04 mm, linear metal cord density 2.40–2.66 g/m and metal cord breaking force as a whole of not less than 890 N, metal cord pitch in finished tire 1.3–1.8, wherein metal cord is made of metal threads of high strength of identical diameter of 0.32 mm with brass coating with weight of 4.5±2.0 g/kg and weight fraction of copper in brass coating 63±2.5 %, S-type coils with pitch of 15–17 mm, with bond strength of metal cord breaker with production rubber mixture of not less than 340 N/12.5 mm, ratio of diameter of metal thread to diameter of metal cord is 0.372.
EFFECT: increased overall performance of the pneumatic tire, reduced coefficient of rolling resistance, as well as increased circumferential rigidity of the tire, which affect improvement of resistance of the tires to lateral pull.
