SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an electronic barrier device which can form part of an additional device, such as an insulating barrier or Zener barrier, and comprises a voltage limiter such as at least one Zener device for limiting voltage in the circuit during a fault condition, wherein the barrier device includes a shunting device configured to be locked through at least one Zener device, in order to reduce power dissipation in at least one Zener device in undesired closure state in electrical circuit, and wherein the shunting device is configured to be locked in accordance with a current change detected in the barrier device.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in reliability and safety.
