FIELD: power equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power equipment that provides protection of electrical equipment and power lines from short circuit currents. The fuse contains an insert (1) fixed between the contacts from at least one HTSC tape on a Hastelloy substrate in a protective metal shell. The insert (1) is enclosed in a cartridge (6) made of an electrically insulating material that retains elasticity at liquid nitrogen temperature. Cartridge (6) is provided with holes (8) and (9) designed to communicate cavity (7) of cartridge (6) with cryostat cavity. The insert (1) is installed eccentrically relative to the longitudinal axis (13) of the cartridge (6) with the possibility of preventing the return of the shock wave reflected from the walls of the cartridge (6) into the gap between the contacts. The current limiter contains a fuse and a shunt connected to the current leads of the cryostat.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the operation of the device and the protection of electrical equipment.
