FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: transmitter is disclosed, which includes a power amplifier, a phase modulator, a DC—DC converter with mode switching, each of which operates in two modes, and a controller. Power amplifier is configured for selective operation either in the first mode or in the second mode, wherein the first mode is a linear mode, and the second mode is a nonlinear mode, to provide power saving with minimum increase in hardware costs. Transmitter is configured to operate with different frequency bands, as well as using different radio communication standards, along with a minimum one.
EFFECT: technical result consists in achievement of efficient power saving mode.
