FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions based on furfural acetone monomers, which can be used as binder in the production of polymer concrete for hydraulic structures, structural materials, fiberglass, casting forms, thin-layer road surfaces, protection of equipment and building structures from aggressive media, anticorrosion materials, etc. Polymer composition for composite material production contains mixture of furfural acetone monomer, additive, river sand, para toluene sulphonic acid and acetone. Additive to furfural acetone monomer is represented by fatty acids of tall oil in weight ratio 1:(0.2–1.5).
EFFECT: improved physical and chemical properties and reduced water absorption of the end product.
