FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used for intensification of degassing of coal beds by hydraulic fracturing. Invention comprises method of directed hydraulic fracturing of coal bed. Proposed method comprises well boring along well seam, well sealing interval sealing, fluid feed under pressure under sealed interval and formation of fracture in formation. At that lateral borehole is drilled in break interval. Lateral shaft is oriented at angle of 15–40 degrees to the well providing the condition of stable development of the crack in the plane formed by the well, the point of sidetracking and the side shaft.

EFFECT: technical result is increased extraction of carbon methane from the mass by creating a longitudinal fracture of hydraulic fracturing in the formation.
