SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to plungers for use with a syringe. Plunger comprises: a plunger body having a proximal end, a distal end and a circumferential lateral wall extending between the proximal end and the distal end along the longitudinal axis of the plunger; at least one elastically deflectable retaining member comprising a first segment attached to the plunger body, and a second segment protruding towards the distal end of the plunger body and configured to deflect relative to the first segment; and at least one drive element coupled with at least one elastically deflectable retaining element. At least one drive element interacts with the piston used for engagement with the plunger, to deflect at least one elastically deflected retaining element when the plunger turns relative to the piston.
