FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a plunger for a syringe, which includes a plunger body with a proximal end, a distal end and an annular side wall extending between the proximal end and the distal end along the longitudinal axis of the plunger. Plunger further includes at least one resiliently deflected retaining element including a first segment connected to the plunger body and a second segment projecting towards the distal end of the plunger body and deflecting relative to the first segment. Plunger additionally contains at least one drive element conjugated with at least one resiliently deflected retaining element. At least one drive element interacts with the piston to deflect at least one elastically deflected retaining element when the plunger is turned relative to the piston.
EFFECT: plunger is configured to engage with the piston regardless of angular orientation of the piston relative to the plunger.
