FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics, nephrology and vascular surgery, and can be used for determination of haemodynamically significant stenosis of branch vein of arteriovenous fistula for programmed hemodialysis. It is followed by ultrasonic color duplex scanning of the fistula. Branch vein is examined by a linear sensor of frequency 7–10 MHz in pulse-wave Doppler mode. Peak systolic velocity of the blood flow in the stenosis region and proximal to it is determined, volumetric blood flow velocity is distal to the stenosis area. Diameter of the vein in the stenosis is determined, the peak systolic blood flow is 2 cm more proximal, and the volume velocity of the blood flow is 2 cm distal to the stenosis area. If the vein diameter in the stenosis area is less than 2 mm, the ratio of peak systolic blood flow velocities in the stenosis area and in the proximal segment is greater than 3.0, volumetric blood flow velocity in the distal portion is less than 300 ml/min, then haemodynamically significant stenosis of branch vein of arteriovenous fistula for programmed hemodialysis is determined.
EFFECT: method provides determining a haemodynamically significant stenosis of a branch vein of an arteriovenous fistula for programmed hemodialysis in the patients with chronic renal insufficiency by determining a diameter in a stenosis area and blood flow values in a stenosis area.
