FIELD: antenna equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering and is intended for construction of digital APAA. According to the method, the signal received by each antenna element is amplified, frequency-converted, filtered in a band-pass filter and converted to a digital sequence using an analogue-to-digital converter. A directional pattern (DP) is formed by weight summation of sequences of readings of input signals corresponding to the same quantization moments. Antenna cloth is formed from M N-channel transceiving modules combined into sub-arrays by L transceiving modules, generating a sequence of readings of the first level partial beam patterns in the first-level DP generation processors embedded in the transceiving modules, by weighting the sequence of counts of the N input signals corresponding to the same sampling moments, generating second-level partial beam patterns in second level DP generation processors by weighted summation of sample sequences from outputs of first-level DP generation processors from subarray composition, generating resultant radiation patterns in DP generation processors of last level using at most L sequences of partial diagram counts from outputs of DP generation processors of previous level, wherein number of levels of formation of directivity pattern, equal to whole part of expression k=logL(M-1)+2, for M>2, and for transmission of sequences of readings of beam patterns between DP generation processors communication lines with serial data transmission are used.

EFFECT: reduced requirements for processors of formation of DP of beam formation system.
