FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to rail track part and method of its production. Steel in rail head of rail track part contains 5–15 vol% of ferrite, 5–20 vol% of austenite, 5–20 vol% of martensite and 55–75 vol% of non-carbide bainite. Proposed method consists in controlled cooling of rail head in six stages immediately after exit of mill stand.
EFFECT: technical result is increased crack resistance, good weldability with high durability of finished part.
