FIELD: aeronautics.
SUBSTANCE: tethered aerostat consists of cigar-shaped gas shell connected to ground mooring post by means of ropes and cables. In the leeward section of the outer surface of the shell there are light and flexible plates, their leeward edges are elevated from shell with initial clearance of fixed size, installed by means of flanges at ends of edges and due to pressing action of cushion-spring strips located on top of plates. When the wind speed exceeds the rated value, the leeward flanges deviate from the shell surface, thereby deteriorating its aerodynamic streamlining and increasing the resistance to the aerostat displacement from the ground mooring post. When wind velocity returns to rated value, leeward edges of plates by force of cushion-spring strips return to position with initial clearance to shell surface.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reduction of height loss at increase of wind speed.
