FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, in particular, to armor-piercing projectiles with the formed by the method of explosive eversion of the lining into an elongate striking element. Projectile-forming device consisting of a housing, an explosive charge, a small deflection coating made from tantalum doped with tungsten, and fuse, operating on the principle of facing turning, characterized by that content of tungsten in tantalum of coating is within 1.5–4 %, and deflection value of surface of lining of small deflection facing charge of explosive, is within h/d=0.09–0.11, where d is diameter of lining, h is height of lining.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to form elongated damaging element by turning out without localization of neck formation on it, to ensure its dynamic deformation without destruction and to increase finally specified characteristic.
