SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dispenser for dispensing sheet products from piles of sheet products, as well as to a method of controlling dispensing device for sheet products. Dispenser for sheet products comprises a casing, an electronic controller and a drawing detector. Said case has inner space accommodating pile of sheet products and comprises dispensing orifice for dispensing sheet product in front of pile. Electronic controller is configured to obtain a pull signal indicating removal of the product from the front of the pile through the dispensing opening, and when said drawing signal is received, sending a command signal on transmission of one or more sheet products in front of said pile to dispensing position, wherein first sections of one or more products are extended through dispensing hole. Drawing detector is designed to detect extraction of product in front of pile through dispensing hole and supply pull signal to controller. Pulling detector comprises a recognition element supported in the dispenser case to displace and stay in contact with the most front product in the stack so as to be actuated when the product is removed from the front of the stack through the dispensing opening. Dispenser further comprises a stack limiter for holding second sections of one or more sheet products in the dispenser in a position for dispensing the sheet product, and the recognition element is supported by the stack limiter.

EFFECT: technical result is faster distribution of a pre-selected amount of sheet products.
