FIELD: space equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for controlled descent of a spacecraft from near-earth orbit at a section of hypersonic speeds consists in controlling the apparatus by creating an additional reactive force, directed along centrifugal force vector. Required reactive flow is formed by conversion of lower, colder layer of dynamic gas cushion, formed before the head part of the apparatus using steam of a cooling agent, used at removal of heat from the most hot structures of the apparatus.

EFFECT: technical result is providing controlled lowering of spacecraft.
