SUBSTANCE: barrel for firearm comprises barrel bore, ammunition inlet, and pre-muzzle expansion chamber. Expansion chamber is made in the form of sphere with radius "R", which is equal to half of maximum diameter "D" of pre-muzzle expansion chamber. Diameter of outlet hole "d" is equal to or greater than diameter "dk" of barrel bore to the pre-muzzle expansion chamber in range from 0 to 5 mm. Difference between maximum diameter "D" of pre-muzzle expansion chamber and outlet hole of barrel "d" in range from 1 to 15 mm, angle of cone “α” in range from 2 to 18 degrees. Number of expansion chambers is not regulated. Thickness of web between expansion chambers from 0 to 20 mm. Diameters of the pre-muzzle expansion chambers and the angles of the pre-expansion expansion chambers can be different from each other.

EFFECT: increased initial velocity of ammunition, wider range of thrown bodies, improvement of grouping and range of shot.
