FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: muzzle device for smooth-bore hunting weapons comprises outer pipe-casing, inner tube, muzzle attachment of two parts, expansion chambers, front end cover-plug, rear end cover-plug. Tubular cylindrical channel extends in center along cavity of external pipe, is formed by two muzzle nozzles combined in threaded connection, in which radial cuts are made. Length of cuts is less than length of shot shell, total surface area of cuts on each of muzzle heads is much larger than cross-section area of tubular cylindrical channel. First expansion chamber is formed by a rear end cover-plug, an external pipe and a dissecting cone, the second – with a dissecting cone, an internal pipe and a front end cover-plug. Chambers are communicated via annular slot between outer pipe and inner pipe. Volume of the first expansion chamber is several times less than the volume of the second expansion chamber. Inner side of front end cover-plug has a concave parabolic shape.

EFFECT: easier manufacture, assembly and installation on the weapon, reduced weight of the structure, reduced sound level of the shot and reduced recoil of the gun.
