FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method is based on long-term annual observations of actual yields of spring barley. For prediction of yield, duration of two inter-phase periods is accounted for: sowing - ear and shoots - ear. Indexes of interphase periods are defined as the ratio of the number of days of the first period of sowing-waxing of the current year to the average duration of the same period in at least ten years. Similarly, the index of the second interphase sprouts-earing period is found. Product of the found indices gives the value of the general index. Predicted crop capacity is determined as product of the value of the general index by average yield, obtained for at least ten years.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict yield of spring barley with high reliability.
