SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control quality of nutrient medium for extraction of brucella from material contaminated with foreign microorganisms. Method for control of inhibitory properties with respect to the bacterial flora of the nutrient medium for brucella separation envisages cultivation of a test culture on the surface of chopped nutrient agar. Float agar surface is washed off with 0.9 % sodium chloride solution, microbial suspensions are brought to concentration of 105 mq. k/ml and sowed with 0.1 ml of suspension of each test strain per 3 cups of test medium Petri. Test strains used are Streptococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Streptococcus faecalis 602 and Proteus vulgaris HX 19222. Inhibition properties of the nutrient medium are determined by the absence of growth of test cultures.

EFFECT: invention increases information value of the method of controlling inhibitory properties of the nutrient medium for extracting brucella.
