SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for signal transmission or for receiver synchronization by means of a transmitter. Transmitter is configured to transmit at least one signal with a pilot sequence comprising a plurality of pilot symbols, wherein the transmitter comprises a signal generator, wherein the signal generator provides a pilot sequence, wherein the signal generator provides a pilot sequence such that the pilot sequence comprises at least two groups of symbols, each comprising at least two pilot symbols, and groups of symbols, when estimating a signal received by a receiver as a result of signal transmission with respect to a phase, a group of symbols, generating phase errors, which depend on the time offset between the reference time of the signal transmission by the transmitter and the value which is assumed and/or estimated when estimating the reference time, wherein said phase errors substantially cancel each other by groups of symbols during evaluation.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of synchronization.
