SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-voltage engineering, in particular to electrophysical apparatuses for cleaning gases from environmentally harmful impurities, air disinfection and sterilization. Electrophysical device for cleaning gases from environmentally harmful impurities, air disinfection and sterilization by means of a combination of frequency-pulse and high-voltage DC voltage includes a pulse high-voltage transformer containing two secondary windings. High-voltage direct current source is made in the form of one of secondary windings of transformer, which is connected to high-voltage bridge rectifier, which is loaded with high-voltage capacitor, one output of which is grounded, and the second secondary winding of the transformer by one terminal is connected to the potential output of the high-voltage capacitor, and by the other output through the magnetic pulse compression device is connected to the high-voltage corona-forming electrode.
EFFECT: developed electrophysical device is characterized by increased reliability of operation.
