FIELD: holography.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to holography and relates to a method for rapid analysis of the dynamic range of the phase response of holographic material. Method includes formation of phase photoresponse of medium when recording hologram in beams with Gaussian intensity distribution. Phase photoresponse on the recorded section of the holographic medium is determined from the number of rings in one of the diffraction orders corresponding to local minima of the diffraction efficiency. Further, based on the found value of the phase photoresponse, the value of the dynamic range of photoinduced change of the refraction index is determined for volumetric phase holograms and value of dynamic range of photoinduced change of depth of surface relief of relief-phase holograms.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of measuring the photoresponse value directly during recording of holograms.
